Featherstone Internships at Maryland Public Television

The Featherstone Foundation is delighted to announce our new partnership with Maryland Public Television.

The Featherstone Corporate Internship Program at MPT provides a unique opportunity for students, who are traditionally underrepresented in media, to gain meaningful, paid work experience in the news industry. MPT internships are typically unpaid; however, through this collaboration, we are delighted to offer paid, meaningful work opportunities for students.

Students selected for this program will have an opportunity to begin a paid internship at MPT starting January 2021, plus receive access to professional development and mentoring.  Students will gain practical experience, learn new skills, build critical professional relationships, receive resume enhancements and harness a competitive edge in the job market.

In addition, the Featherstone Foundation will offer monthly virtual workshops for students through Zoom with our leading experts and mentors focused on resume development, interviewing, the importance of networking, social capital and a growth mindset.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some opportunities will be offered virtually and other opportunities may be available in-person based on the needs of the employer.  Applications are available here.
