Toria Hawkins manages the Featherstone Foundation’s day-to-day operations. She’s responsible for the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, community outreach strategies, strategic partnerships and overall program management. Tori supervises the Foundation’s program managers, officers, consultants and alumni networks.
Hawkins holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Baltimore School of Social work and master’s of public health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her expertise includes developing locally focused, restorative programs that benefit participants holistically, including their social, occupational, and financial wellness. Toria has extensive experience with planning and implementing culturally responsive programs within nonprofits in Maryland and Washington, DC.
Toria’s overarching aim is to utilize her dual MSW/MPH degrees to increase access to opportunity for underserved and minority communities through direct service provision, program development, research, and community fellowship. This aim is also reflected in her personal life through her consistent engagement in and enjoyment of advocacy, mentorship, and volunteerism.
