Lanaea C. Featherstone is the founder of the William & Lanaea C. Featherstone Foundation. She is an award-winning leading nonprofit executive with more than a decade of international and management experience. She has been a featured panelist for U.S. News & World Report on topics related to the Latino community. She has a master’s degree in Spanish.
Tori Hawkins, executive director, holds a masters degree in social work from the University of Baltimore and a masters degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She has vast experience managing culturally responsive programs in Maryland and D.C. Her expertise includes developing locally focused, resortative programs that benefit participants. holistically, including their social, occupational and financial wellness.
Alexis M. Young, a Program Officer, manages the Foundation’s college and career readiness initiatives. She collaborates with students, administrators, and other education stakeholders to provide young people with meaningful educational, professional, and financial opportunities. Alexis is working toward obtaining a Ph.D in Minority & Urban Education from the University of Maryland.
Natalie Abegesah is a consultant for the Foundation’s flagship workforce initiative, Reaching New Heights. She is responsible for program oversight including planning, developing, coordinating, managing and program implementation.
Nana Adjeiwaa-Manu, a program officer, is responsible for supporting the Foundation’s college & career readiness initiatives. She manages the Featherstone Foundation’s Corporate Internship Fellowship Program that provides students with paid equitable employment opportunities.
