The Featherstone Foundation is pleased to invite prospective students to apply to the inaugural Featherstone Corporate Internship Program that provides a unique opportunity for students, who are traditionally underrepresented in key industries, to gain meaningful, paid work experience at some of Baltimore’s most prestigious companies.
Students selected for this program will have an opportunity to work with an employer starting January 2021. Students will gain practical experience, learn new skills, build critical professional relationships, receive resume enhancements and harness a competitive edge in the job market. In addition, the Featherstone Foundation will offer monthly virtual workshops for students through Zoom with our leading experts and mentors focused on resume development, interviewing, the importance of networking, social capital and a growth mindset.
With our top-notch employer partners, students will be placed at work sites at major industries in Baltimore City such as media, technology, information technology, contracting and city government. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some opportunities will be offered virtually and other opportunities will be available in-person based on the needs of the employers. Applications are available here.
Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:
-Currently enrolled in a college or university in Baltimore City
-Must be able to work 12-16 hours per week
-Must have a 3.0 GPA (grade point average)
-Must have reliable transportation
-Must be able to attend five virtual professional development workshops:
